MY - IT Support Specialist

About the role
The IT Support Specialist is meticulous, IT-savvy and collaborative in our Technology team.

As the go-to person for internal IT needs, you are responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the team by providing excellent hardware and software support, managing our internal network security and cloud-based platform, and other IT management components.

You will be reporting to the Head of Information and Risk, and will closely support colleagues across departments and countries to ensure security and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to support on- and off-boarding processes for team members.
  • Configure hardware and software, facilitate equipment procurement, and manage existing IT assets.
  • Provide hardware and software support to employees with all levels of technology proficiency.
  • Learn, document, and support new applications and IT procedures, and refine and increase quality and efficiency of applications and procedures.
  • Create detailed and impactful documentation and training materials for internal stakeholders and users.
  • Manage and update user access controls in the internal software access matrix.
  • Actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.
  • Monitor and manage network security and configuration, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Respond to first-level incidents in a timely manner.
  • Only open to Malaysian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information System, Computer Engineering, or related fields preferred.
  • Proven 1-2 years of working experience in IT 
  • Exceptional communication skills in English
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/ software systems
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows and MacOS fleet management, Group Policy Object (GPO) management, remote technical management.
  • Self-driven, has strong sense of ownership and able to work and learn independently
  • Manage regional operations strategies and day-to-day operations teams
  • Ability to maintain an open mindset to learn
